Had breakfast at 8 am with Horst before he went to work at his Hansatouristik office in Contrescarpe Strasse. We walked the 3 km into the Hauptbahnhof to hire bicycles for the day and complete the River cycle tour. However we only had our drivers licenses with us and they would hire out bikes without siting our passports. Instead we decided to partly complete the 17km Bremen Innerstadt Runde bike tour on foot. We walked points 1-8 on the tour map covering Stadtmitte, ...

Excellent stop. ...

... privately financed park in all of Germany. We walk through paths throughout the park and we even saw a DEER! The park is filled with old trees, spacious lawns, watercourses, fountains and lakes. It was very romantic. We come up to Lake Emmasee and find our Ruderboots (rowboats) we wanted to rent! They were old school wooden boats that looked idyllic in the water. The shallow river system goes in a 3 mile circle around the park. We ...

... a neighbourhood in the medieval centre of the city and the only part of it that has preserved a medieval character. It was very narrow and the architecture was beautiful. After that we decided we wanted to go back to the hotel and take a nap before we go out. Almost back and we hear live music and more commotion. We stumble upon the last day of Bremen Bierfest! I was so excited. Not big at all but there were around 20 booths ...
