... a browse through their beer selection and as I was doing so the waitress extolled the virtues of the Aventinus Eisbock.
She said it was a 12% beer that still had a Belgian fruity quality but with the 12% kick.
Had to give it a go and after half a glass on top of the 9% tripel I just had before am really feeling that kick as I write this!!!
Lucky she gave me some bread and crisps to go with the beer...
... Leaning Tower began to lean after its architect had completed only three tiers of the building. Most believe that the tower began leaning because of "shifting soil" – and then it continued to incline about 1mm every year since it was built! In 1998, however, the City of Pisa (realizing, I think, that if the tower ever fell over, their tourism industry would be severely curtailed!) wrapped cables around the third story of the ...

En dehors de cette attraction, pise possede encore une bonne partie de ces fortification. si non, c'est une ville etudiante, avec 3 universites, donc il y a quand meme pas mal de vie

Stayed at Affittacamere Patrizia Hostel in Rio Maggiore in Cinque Terre and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
When we got to the Hostel it was just an office and no one was there. Our keys were stuck to the door with instructions on how to get to our dorm room. There was another set of keys there too so we could have taken those too and ...
We are finally home and it is actually Nov. 20th. We finally got in last night around midnight and could not download anything for the last several days because WiFi is too advanced for the small town we were in. It was the most relaxing of all the ...

Did some chores... yes we have some, we are not totaly void of resposibility. Went to the supermarket to stock up on food and went to an Aire d'service to empty Theo (our Thescott cassette toilet). Enough of that and we were back in the walls checking out the Antiques Market and eating Gelati... YUM!!
... in which there was only space for a single foot to cross. There were also many stone marked by sharpy saying things like “ Nude beach this way”, “NO GAY” and “Free No Gay Beach”. Once we got to the beach the landscape with very picturesque, but we didn’t know what to expect since this would be a first visit for all of us to a nude beach. It was very secluded so there were very few people, but of course the men out ...
Cinque Terre, Italian Riviera, Italy knitrosvoyage... when hiking is bring your ski poles to use as walking sticks, which made it even harder to pass people. At one point the path was muddy, and I slipped, attempted to grab the wall for support, and sliced my finger. But I'm happy that that was my greatest injury. And the good news was that every so often there was an old Italian man selling lemons for €0.50, which you eat whole (my favorite!), and when you could stop to take a breather, the view was ...
Cinque Terre, Italian Riviera, Italy jennil507... how on certain angles the tower would look like it was about to fall over and then on other angles it looked almost straight. I of course had to take the typical tourist photos of my pushing the tower over and leaning against it. But l found more enjoyment watching the hundreds of hands raised almost like a salute in the Camp- all doing the same pose. Its quite a funny sight to see just everyone standing ...
Pisa, Italy mimmy21... some final bends and corners, low and behold, we were suddenly face to face with our end destination, the lovely village of Monterosso, and the extremely welcoming train station which would get up back to home base and into a siesta. We were totally knackered - my quadriceps had the consistency of junket, and my ass was convinced i'd been riding a wild bull all afternoon. The pain was felt Trained back along the coast to RioMadge, bought up big and cooked up ...
