Accion de Gracias

... Spanish holidays. Most of them seem to be related to the church. It's interesting how today it seems like the church plays such little role in peoples lives but in the past it is what dominated most aspects of society. Back to today. I knew it was Thanksgiving but it sure as heck didn't feel like it. At school the teachers didn't bring up the subject or cut us any slack. The weather was kind of rainy today so that helped. It didn ...

... in English. She was very nice. I really enjoyed this bar, it was so refreshing to hear Spanish songs for a change. The night ended on a down note though…Juan’s bike got stolen. : ( It’s ironic because I had a conversation earlier about if I should get a bike and my friend from the intercabio that is from Malaga told me no, it would get stolen. It sucks that Juan’s bike got stolen. All in all tonight was a good night.

Hung over again

... and went for a walk along the strip again but the most of the places where closed up now so we had a pint in an irish bar again and then we went looking for food. We decided to stop off in another english place called Rumours and could not believe it when they put on all the soaps. We caught up with emmerdale and eastenders until I could take no more and we went off to get some chinese food. It was horrid and made us both feel a ...

Too Funny

... was very tasty and I feel better that I can at least eat again without being so paranoid about where the food has been stored all day. We had met an english lady on the train that was so ill by the food in morroco that i felt really glad and relieved that we had come off so lucky.

Ian was feeling much better as well thankfully and we go on the bus to our final place the Costa Del Sol rodney! It was a ...

Morocco deserves more than a day!

... people overall seem like they´re just trying to live their lives, if you look past the street hustlers. The city didn´t feel any less safe than Istanbul, or even Barcelona for that matter. Our view of organized tours has not been changed, however, and if we go again, we´re definitely visiting Morocco on our own. It´s worth a lot more than 3 hours.

For now we´re packing up from our lovely vacation, and heading back on the bus to Sevilla, our final stop in Spain. Stay tuned!

Malaga City Tour

... for lunch is an area called Chininitos where there are lots of chairs and tables set outside for a great seafood.
Teatro Romano is another nice place to visit, heading up to the Mount Gilfrano from there allows to see the whole city underneath. Amazing view of the Torre where the bullfighting occurs.
Once seeing the precaussions was over at night, we head out to Cordoba for our last day of visit in the Southern Spain.

Seville->Fuegirola: "Watch out, Genie's driving!"

... where we'd found a last-minute hotel) the sun is slow-falling into the horizon, away from the sea. Fuengirola is a resort town, just like ones I've seen in Florida, and California, and Hawaii, and India, and Mexico, just with slightly different language, and slightly different color of the hotel buildings that stand like giant monoliths along the shore. There are bars, and the bees-buzz of scooters, and Moroccans peddling various imitation wares. Yes, here it's the Moroccans. In ...

Tolox (Diversity of Málaga I)

... os I passed matched their reputation for serenity. It wasn't until after my visits, researching for this article, that I found out about their wilder side. Twice a year, the pulse of the villages races high with the Tolox Carnival, and the Día de los Polvos- where the village runs around throwing talcum powder at one another. Fortunately I wasn't greeted in such a manner. I had visited Tolox on two occasions, my primary aim being to find access to the summit ...
