Back to an educational day! Today we met our driver and our tour guide to head to Kronos place and head up to the birth place of Zeus. First to the palace. This is a Minoan palace that was 4000 years old. It was amazing to see the art, pottery that had been discovered. It was also impressive how peaceful (they had no warriors) of a people they were and also how advanced. They has piping and a septic system. We also got to sit ...

... or spaghetti". We choose chicken, which was an excellent choice. This really felt like a home cooked meal as Maria cooked the food ten feet from us in her oven and brought the salad to our table with the small glasses for wine. All told, for wine, water, chicken, potatoes, salad, raki (geek alcoholic drink) for FOUR people the total bill was only 42 euros. We also had some extra entertainment as across the street at the ...

I'm on your side, buddy. But this is what you chose.

The wind on the road back to Heraklion was real and scary. Almost-knocked-over scary. Especially entering and exiting tunnels. It looked like a front was coming in. Maybe I'm wise to have made it out when I did.

The couple is still at it. About how they're not getting rental cars next time. How about credit cards. Give it a rest, guy.

There was a large crowd of people outside ...
