... each group participated in the HIV exercises we refereed the 2nd rounds of the tournament and had lunch and once again everyone got a lunch, the kids began to open up to me more and during the lunch a few of them asked me questions and we shared a special bond just before the final games and award presentation. Day 3
... attributed to the constant encouragement from the coaches and I. It was contagious and the energy was evident despite the blazing sun. After two days of participating in the different stations the campers began to familiarize themselves with the drills and began to seem comfortable dribbling with their left hand or knowing how to defend against a 2 on 1 defensive sequence.

Day 2 of Camp
... We spent about a half an hour working on fundamentals of shooting and rebounding. As we continued to work with the campers I noticed that the second day had more campers that the first day and that word of mouth and the flyers that we hung up in different locations were being seen. The first day had 52 campers and today was around 65. Kids wanted to learn and I simply couldn't reject them away.

Day 1 of the 1st ST Sabbatical Camp in Cape Verde
... and what I expected from them. We separated the camp into two divisions, 14 year olds & under on one court and 15 & up group on the other court. We began with intense drills and each station focused on the fundamentals of shooting, passing, dribbling and defense. 5-6 former players and coaches who were at each station running drills accompanied me run the camp.
