... now used for guest house or other accommodation and are no longer as flash (but still beautiful stone). A few have been pulled down and replaced by horrible blocks of flats. Great trip down to Bristol, lovely air conditioned coach. The views through the Forest of Dean were spectacular. Crossing the river, over the bridge was breathtaking, as the tide was out, so you could see the extent that the river comes up. ... is ripe with bird waste (you can't actually tell though as the water is a pale green color). I think Edmond told us the water temperature in the pool is about 47C. Near the end of the exhibit you can drink some of the water from the hot spring source (NOT the pool!), so I did. It was quite warm and reminded me of well water from Carroll.
