... 3 stops which included this dodgy western esq town movie style set which wasn't exciting and then Eagle Point and Guano Point. Eagle point was the first of the look outs over the canyon and includes a glass bottomed platform called the skywalk. The second look out was Guano Point which received it's name from the Guano (bat ****) mining hat used to be done there. We had lunch (looked like prison food, gross!) at Guano Point and then headed back to base.

... next day we went north up the strip to explore. It seems all people do in Vegas is gamble, shop, go to shows or look at the themed hotels. But we only had a few days so there was more than enough for us to do. The shows like Cirque de Solei were expensive so we didn't book anything. ... and refuelling was decided by the fact there are few and far service areas so we took the one that came up before the petrol meter registered too low and then had to decide on the amount to return it empty! Some discussion took place and we settled on $15 worth. All of £9 !! ... brightly lit up strip back to the hotel. Back at the hotel, we got a couple of drinks and played the willy wonka game. Andy had no change so put in $10 and as he was about to run out of credits, he somehow won $20 with his wonka chair lifting him up and dancing about in celebration. He quickly collected his winnings having doubled his money. We then had $5 each to play in the 1c machines to win, lose, win & lose the lot. I had called ahead and arranged an open sided bus tour of the valley as I'd read that most of it is impossible to drive on unless you happen to be in a 4x4.
