We met Bruce and Gail Grossetta, and Christine and Campbell Johnson (Scottish) for a private excursion of Nessebur. We were chatting amiably when the Captain came on and announced that the wind was too strong and the sea to high to tender into the port, so we were heading into a commercial port 30 km away to the south. quiet for tourists, it being the end of the season. Our guide said it was a poor country and over the centuries it has lost quite a lot of it's territory. Although it is in the EU it does not have the euro and is unlikely to be able to afford to do that. How much nicer it was here than in Constanta! ...

... parted company after she had checked in as ours was not yet open and given the melee of peoples at the airport it was no use looking for her once I was through! I caught up with some others flying to London and we managed to pas the time til boarding quite comfortably. Only a small BA plane absolutely chockers but I am in a window seat and enjoying the patchwork of fields, valleys and mountains passing below. Safely tucked up in hotel for night - Natland ...
