Saturday morning we all headed out for a walk up the mountain! We drove into Italy and then started to walk- it was beautiful!!! ...

After dinner Arianna took us to a bar and we met ...

Checked in and had dinner of beef medallions (200gm steak) and mushrooms before our train ride to St Moritz tomorrow. Walking to dinner came across the most unlikely shop!! ...

... for bikes. When this road is dry like today it really is great fun to ride on a bike.

On all other occasions I have continued on this road all the way to Tirano but today I am taking another route and heading to Stelvio via the holiday town of Livingo.

I take the turn and right away I notice a old customs building with one police officer standing there watching and just after that is a big sign saying "Italy".

This road is a road I have never been ...

... first mile was uphill all the way and we finally got to a saddle between two mountains, which is essentially a meadow. We looked for deer or Ibex but didn't see any. We saw a lot of scat so we knew they were around but didn't see any. We took a wrong turn and finally asked some people hiking if we were on our way to Parking lot 1. They said no, it was back the other way. So we sat at a sweet little bridge over ...
