The plan was today was a bit of a mystery to me. All I knew was we were driving up into the mountains to some tax-free haven. Matteo (Marina’s cousin) picked us up and off we went. The first stop was a pleasant surprise, Valtelin Golf Club. I didn’t bring any golf attire and they didn’t have the necessary gear for hire, so all I was able to manage was hitting a bucket of balls on the range. The course looked immaculate and the clubhouse was small ...

We saw a lot of mountain lakes, deers, flowers and the owner one time came with us explaining all about the area: history, geography and bothanic. There are a lot of things to do: clibining, rafting, hiking, MTB tours and mcuh more. ...

... these roads in the big van! I took hundreds of photos of the road and surroundings as well as every time we glimpsed the boys. Sometimes I was handling my camera, Richard's cameras, Annabel's new camera and my iPhone to record this historic event. (For which Richard is very grateful!!) Other than the climb and descent we had a coffee at the small 1/2 way point as we waited for them to get a bit ahead of us. We met them at the top of course and Richard ...
