    ... had lunch etc then headed back to do some shopping since we needed a few items like toothpaste and deodorant. Because the kitchen stove wasn't working we just got some noodles to have later that night.

    We spent most of the evening in the common room, a new lot of Busabout people had arrived so we chatted a bit with them.

    We are both looking forward to France and ...

    ... places to eat. Lucy was hungry again. Oh dear. Luckily we didn't stop at one of the restaurants along the canal and walked further where we stumbled upon a large open air market. It was really cool. Had lots of organic food stalls and lots of places to sit. Our host had encouraged us to eat Italian food and drink Italian wine so for the 5th night in the row we did.     ... Feeling refreshed all we needed to do now was find a toilet for Katie. Abandoning the tour for a while was the only option. After getting rejected from a number of cafes I've never seen such a big smile when Katie finally was permitted to use a toilet in one. Back on track, Emma was able to finish the tour and get us back to the bus stop perfectly timed so that we could step onto the bus back to the train station. Picked up our bags and got ...

    Awake at 4 again! On the train and travelling at 300km per hour! Wow! See attached video ! It was a wonderful trip, even the last part where we spent more time in tunnels than outside looking at the scenery! On arrival at Firenze Santa Maria Novella we were met by a brass band playing - that was so kind of them, we were quite touched! Found the hotel reasonably quickly ...
