    Carlairi to Aritzo

Traveled from Caglairi along a combination of road types. Interpreting the GPS directions took us up lanes and dead ends but the advantage was we were off the tourist routes. Housing so different to Australian standards. However all seemed well kept. We stopped at Nauaghi and toured the archeological restoration of Stone, Bronze, Steel and Roman civilizations. These stone constructions after being utilised for various requirements were abandoned around the 6th century ...

... all over our patio area and it was so pretty. I definitely wish I could bring one of those trees home with me, but I don't even have to check to know that wouldn't be allowed.

We managed to book a shuttle directly through our resort that would take us to the Cagliari airport (about 2.5 hour drive) and from there we got a taxi from the taxi stand by the arrivals that took us to our hotel in Cagliari. It was by far the easiest transportation day we've had all trip.

... as being English speaking, but I can assure you that none of them really did at all. They couldn't understand what I wanted and just gave me the phone. I tried everything I could think of and Brittany tried googling how to do it, to no avail.

Eventually (by this time it was about 10am) we remembered we had our appointments at 11:30am at the spa and that the woman who ran it spoke English really well. Once we got there we ...
