... Nice town but not as good as the others. I've got about a million photos of the day. Unfortunately it's quite hazy so they won't show how beautiful this region is. Finally I go back to Varenna. This (for me) is definitely the best town. It's smaller and I love it. My BnB is in the square but the top floor balcony has beautiful views over the lake. I'm tired so have an early night. Just snack on ...

I also see my vaccination details on my phone and think they could be helpful too, if the Italian names are close to the English ones I’ve used. I couldn't taste the truffle but it was so nice to have some decent meat. Very nice restaurant ...

How does this compare with the rest of the OECD? Well, the weighted average for the same ratio across the OECD is 34.1, a little higher than the previous year. This new figure leaves Italy as country #5 out of the 34 OECD countries re tax burden, i.e. higher than 28 other countries.

      Bliss in Bergamo

A travel blog entry by madintentions on May 01, 2014

... We thought our bad luck with transit was over as we celebrated on our second train back to Milan. Unfortunately, we celebrated a tad too soon because when we arrived in Milan we found that the entire metro station was closed. How does this happen? What are the chances that the one day we leave Milan and stay out a bit later than usual, the entire metro shuts down. Of course we had no clue why because the signs were all in Italian, visions of underground gang ...
