... approaching and it would mean heading into our first taste of winter, time to layer up! Fiji was another gem, as well as being big rugby fanatics there is more to the country, from its culture, food and friendly people. There are so many activities you can do, from spear fishing to snorkeling. If you are on this side of the world give it a look. I'd give Fiji an 8/10. ...

    The Smallest Island in Fiji

... have ever seen. Our rooms weren't ready when we arrived so we chilled on some beanbags on the beach for a few hours. When we got into the dorm it was basically one big room and two smaller ones off it. It was lovely, and meant there would only ever be a maximum of about 30 house guests on the island at one time. ... and the sandy shores. It was fun seeing some of Fiji's outer islands as well. I have lots of photos on the iphone that I will want to put into the blog at some point.

It took me extra time to come through customs because I didn't have my onward ticket info on me. Because I am only carrying the camera daypack, I can't easily fit in my "documents." But I will have to do so since it can be a major problem. Apparently, when I told them ...

... I was there I met a couple of other Brit solo travellers, Tim and Rebecca and some Australian girls El and Jade who were all really nice. The hostel was interesting. It was kind of a hippy place so the vibe was really friendly and relaxed. But it wasn’t the cleanest place in the world. The people were lovely though. And there were hammocks and we all know how much I have come to love a good hammock. That first night I just sat out in this little round building without walls ...
