We spend the morning cleaning, washing and old jobs before driving into town, the Vodafone SIM card and dongle won't work. It connects to the Internet but we can't open any pages! The girl in the shop played around with it for a short while and the called technical services, who couldn't get it to work either. We gave up! We set off for the Vale of Tembi, a massive gorge carved out by the Pinios River between Mt Olympus and Mt Ossa. The roads were very quite, it makes you ...

    ... It's a process.

It's much simpler re-entering Greece, passport only then away onto the wonderful A2.

Everyone hung out outside for a bit since it had cooled down and we went to bed at about ...

A travel blog entry by ahartry on Oct 03, 2013

We woke at 7am, while it was still mostly dark outside … all we could see were the lights on shore. Breakfast arrived shortly thereafter, and we ate as we pulled up to the dock. As soon as the chimes told us we could disembark, we departed. Our taxi driver (Demos – who was excellent) was waiting right outside the gate for us. It was raining as we left the ship, but the rain soon stopped, even though the overcast remained.

The drive to Meteora was ...

... not pleasant with the van. Escaped and headed towards the monsteries at Metoria with the plan of finding somewhere nice to stop and sleep.

Missed a turn and drove for miles up a freeway that we shouldn't have (GPS was set to a different "Metoria" up in northern Greece). Finally realised about 60km later ... so just stopped in a truckstop on the freeway and spent the ...
