Leaving Castlegar we headed west towards Bonanza pass. At 1535 metres it exceeds the Rogers Pass on highway #1 by 208 metres. I really must do some research on this section of highway as the descent towards Christina Lake is quite dramatic. There were lots of tire marks on the road, especially on the curves!

... began to change. All of a sudden we were in a metropolitan area with high end stores and fine dining restaurants. Did I see a Coach store and a Louis Vitton? Is that a P.F. Chang? Little bakeries and boutiques. In fact, I saw multiple doggie bakeries. That's when you know you've really arrived, when they have specialty pet shops. And I'll bet they had running water. Big chain hotels like Marriott ...
... to eat. Our friend didnt want to stay out to long obviously cant handle to drunk Aussies! so we continued to drink and then headed to and Irish bar! With some awesome band!
Walked back to our hostel trying to figure out where we were and meet some prettty awesome people who helped us find our way!
