    The Greek Isles in Canada

    ... the earth. The area had the feel of the Greek, dry but fertile and scenic with the sun's rays glistening off of the pearly blue lake water. Boaters and swimmers peppered the water and sunned themselves on the few sandy beaches I saw. Signs advertising wineries were on every block. And there were several luxury golf courses with beautiful entrances.

    ... to eat. Our friend didnt want to stay out to long obviously cant handle to drunk Aussies! so we continued to drink and then headed to and Irish bar! With some awesome band!

    ... then uphill, then downhill, then....through Christina Lake (very nice) and Grand Forks to Osoyoos. The scenery is spectacular and changing. On Keely's recommendation, we drove to the Burrowing Owl winery for a glass of Pinot Gris.     ... to make it to Oliver for 6pm as Cyndi and Gord had other company and dinner was planned for 6pm. When we started on the 97 is was only about 60 miles from there to why stop....lets just keep going and we'll make it on time. Can you say ouch?

    ... deer and a doe, followed by two fawns, cross the road right in front of me. Nowhere near my hoped for destination, I start looking for a camping spot and find a campground in the Osoyoos State Park on Lake Osoyoos. I pick a spot across from a couple of Harley riders who are setting up their tent they wave and, after I have my tent set up I wander over and we talk.
