I made a slow start to the day, knowing what was ahead of me, but if I was going to get to Osoyoos at a reasonable hour I had to keep moving. I stopped a few times for breaks and walks but eventually found myself going down the tightest corner on any BC highway (I'm sure) on my way down to Osoyoos. The weather had been sunny and warm but started to rain just ...

Beaver trail sounded good, so we hung a right (turned right if you didn't know) parked up, put on walking boots for the hike, and set off as quietly as we could so as not to disturb the wildlife. Now to be fair, there were one or two birds - I, David, got some indifferent video of a small brown one on a twig which was just visible on my ...

Bob is the current president of the Okanagan Escapee chapter and when they found out we were in Osoyoos they contacted us to see if we would meet them as their guests at the monthly luncheon. The turnout today was such that the room was too small and spilled into the next room! It was a great meal though and we meet some interesting people. I sat across the table from a ...

... a delicious Greek meal of chicken, kebobs, rice, veggies, salads, tzasiki and pita, accompanied by a nice red wine.
Then it was time to hike up the hill a little ways to find some good spots for photos amongst the flowers.
Here are some of my favourites!
It was a little tricky finding good spots to sit and keeping the official photographer happy...but we managed to find some very nice photo ops...

... Grade 3. Look out Glitza… here we come! Continued driving into the Okanagan Valley and it’s all it‘s described to be - fields and fields of fruits… and yes – vineyards!! Tried to find a room in Osoyoos, but picture Sauble Beach on a very hot summer weekend. Right – no rooms and lots of cute babes and guys strutting around and cruising the streets (fun, but does not make for a ...
