      ... of traffic. People strolled the sidewalks and relaxed in the open air cafés. There were stop lights and huge planters of lush flowers on the street corners...and lots of gas stations. Kelowna merged into Lake Okanagan, which must be a true resort area. The lake was huge with steep desert cliffs rising straight from the water's surface. Villa looking homes with irrigated vineyards and orchards ...

      ... to eat. Our friend didnt want to stay out to long obviously cant handle to drunk Aussies! so we continued to drink and then headed to and Irish bar! With some awesome band!

      ... delicious and, apparently, the cookbooks are a really good Christmas gift to ask for *hint hint*. The wind had really picked up as we were coming into Greenwood (which had a lovely descent that we enjoyed) and was picking up even more after we left. We had originally planned on making it to Rock Creek but when it took us nearly an hour to make the 13km into Midway (downhill!), we stopped at the local campground for the evening.
