Turns out that November 1 is All Saints Day. And rather than spending the day worshipping a pop music band, the locals celebrate the lives of the saints and their family that has passed away who are named afer the various saints (and it seems as though just about everyone here is named after one saint or another). It didn't take too long to realize that this was going to be very different than anything I have ever seen before. ... dinner. I split the fried cheese to give it a try and then I thought I would try a pork knuckle for my main. The thing was massive! It was served whole, on a bed of fried potatoes and sauerkraut. It was very tasty, but way too much for one person, even for a pig like me! Walked back to town (good thing, I think I definitely needed a walk after that dinner) and back to the hotel. 4 of us girls were in one room so of course it was a bit of chat time before the lights went out.

After the tour ended we took in the views from the castle before beginning the walk back to the train station. Walked back through Dobo Square to the Train station and caught a regional train to Füzesabony before catching an InterCity train back to Budapest Keleti.
