    ... and we also visited the Hermitage, Francis Drake burnt it down when he visited - Bayonna must have ****** him off as well maybe ! There are also some Modern Art sculptures on the hill there, I still don't know what they are supposed to be though. We planned on an early night them started watching a film because a band started playing right across from the boat - no chance of some sleep tonight ...

    Woke up to yet more wind and rain again this morning, it's getting a bit boring now we wish it would swing round to the North and give us a break. We will have been in Bayonna a week tomorrow and that's plenty, we're hoping Portugal has more favourable weather. It is a shame really because the North of Spain is really stunning, they just have ****** weather more often than ...

    ... prawn and whitebait – complemented with a glass of chilled white wine. One of our best meals yet. And even better, the sun had decided to appear for the afternoon. Got chatting with a young chap from New York [originally from the Philippines] who was biking the southern Camino route from Porto in Portugal. Nice young fellow who was making the most of the last of his bachelor days as he was getting married shortly.

    ... Grilled Goats Cheese and Cracked Black Pepper, which was really good. And for Dinner we had a good old Shepherds Pie with Mixed Veg because it seems an age since we had any (veg). The heavens opened just after lunch and still haven't really let up as of yet so it was another DVD night in - Trouble is we've seen them all once at least already ! Need some new films that's for ...

    We set off about 9.30 this morning and got about 6miles out from the Marina around the North Cardinal marker just outside Bayonna, it wasn't rough but there was quite a big swell and the wind was blowing directly at us which it would have done so all the way down. When I checked the plotter we were doing 3.1 Knots over the ground and at that rate it would taken 10 hours just to get to the first port in Portugal which I am afraid ...
