Interesting fact, Golden Gate Bridge has the highest suicide rate in the USA, and hence have 4 emergency counselling phones up there. Apparently the view is so beautiful it compels people to throw themselves off it. At least 1 fatality a week through suicide.

After checking in to the hotel, we realized that with almost every second we were in the car, we almost died! Lanes practically don't exist, no one cares, blind spots (what are they?). Thank god for ear plugs as she was still awake playing on a computer thing when I went to bed to half hearted pleas of “sweetie, please turn it down and turn it off” from mum. Urgh.
