Christmas was totally different in Canada. It was mostly difficult to be away from family during the festive season, but it was also pretty awesome to have a white Christmas. A group of us cooked a proper Christmas dinner, and afterwards relaxed in the hot tub. A few ...

Well it really feels like we are on our journey home now. We have left the beauty of the Rocky Mountains behind us and are currently about 45 mins out of Kelowna. It's been a long drive today, broken up with a few stops along the way. Our first stop was Takakkaw falls. These are Canada's second highest fall with the visual part being 254m. The glacier where these falls begin is 350m high. The falls are a short walk from the car ...

On our first day, on our way to Bahston, we stopped in Connecticut, at Yale. We didn’t get to see much of it, as it was a quick stop, but I picked up a prospectus! Their buildings are pretty, too. I think it’s more than $50,000 a year including housing etc. to go there. However, if it’s similar to Hahvahd, 2/3 ...

... people here at the moment especially in the neighborhood around the Hotel. Some of the women are wearing Hijabs while others are wearing a type of Burqua with only the eyes showing. There seems to be lots of people from Africa also, with the women often dressed in very bright multi-coloured clothing. Munich seems to have become more of a "multi-cultural" city since my last visit.

Those are some of the details of my first few days. More to follow.....
