Christmas was totally different in Canada. It was mostly difficult to be away from family during the festive season, but it was also pretty awesome to have a white Christmas. A group of us cooked a proper Christmas dinner, and afterwards relaxed in the hot tub. A few ...

After that we went on a trolley tour of the city, which was a hop-on hop-off tour – a trolley sort of looks like an old-fashioned tram carriage, though it runs like a bus. The drivers’ commentaries on the trolley were really good. The trolley tour also included a cruise of the harbour, but we missed it because we were wandering around for too long. For lunch I had ...

... to go through security this time, and it was unusually chaotic. The staff seemed to be more stringent here, and wanted to see everything, including taking my Camera out of the bag. The security staff seemed to be a bit "agitated" so the process took some time.

Just prior to departure from Amsterdam, there was a PA announcement about a security incident, which was disrupting some flights. I found out later that a Vueling aircraft had been forced down by ...
