Unfortunately, the glacier is shrinking – you can see the moraines (hills) it has created in its previous movements, but other glaciers are growing elsewhere, so it’s like a cycle. ... they were part way through the process. They weren’t sure whether the reservations went through or not? As it turned out, it hadn’t worked, but they were able to get a room for one night. It amazes me that people use the “on the fly” system for Hotels, as it can be very inefficient.
