Older hotel, but nice. Right on a waterway with great views of the boats. Take a short walk and you see the windmills from various angels between the homes.

Its dark, like the nights in Africa but I am still in The Netherlands. Drove to Diemen this afternoon to meet Paul my nephew who will take my car and drive me to Schiphol. ... I hope is confined to Amsterdam is the crazy way the locals there drive. There are bikes EVERYWHERE....and I mean EVERYWHERE! Unlike back in Canada, pedestrians here do not have the right of way...EVER! Even when the light was green, we crossed the streets fearing being run down by either a tram, bus, car, truck, moped, motorcycle, Vespa, bicycle, tiny smart car. It got quite chaotic at times. There are roads for the cars and bikes lanes for all other vehicles, and tram ...

Tim is a competent and confident traveler; I am blessed to "do life" with him. I'd follow him anywhere (and I guess I am!). Yesterday we went to the van Gogh Museum. I am trying to get away from saying I either like or dislike a painting and, instead, attempt to view it through my husband's trained eye. What is the mood, the composition, the technique? What contemporary artists influenced the work? The Museum was a comprehensive collection of ...

... to be leaving, which tells me that this was the right amount of time to spend volunteering. Ghana is such an amazing country with an incredibly friendly population, and despite their absolute poverty they will always greet you with the now-familiar handshake which ends with a click of the fingers. In contrast to Nepal, Ghana has an established democracy and a stable political system, which actually ...
