... on the Lido deck again tonight. There were several people from our CAA group there & they were surprised as to how many people eat on the Lido deck & stated they will be joining us there again.
I am posting this a bit early tonight as I have 3 days to post. Yesterday the ship had internet issues all day, even during our Microsoft seminars. If anything interesting happens tonight I will put it in tomorrow’s post... heck we may even stay up until 2300 tonight!!
... After the museum we went to the reunification palace to find out it was closed due to meetings, so we went to the one of the local markets where there is a huge selection of souvenirs, clothes,
jewelery, and food. We could only stay in here for a few minutes, as it was a hot cramped building. So we just went back to cool down ready for another night of Bia Hoi.We meet up with Nate, Pete (Americans) and Manmeet (From London area) and had some Bai ...

On our way back to the guesthouse for a rest we stopped in the park and watced about 100 Vietnamese people enjoy a game which is a lot like hacki sack and badminton. A nice man studying English came over and talked to us for a bit about our home towns, snow and how Vietnamese people always come to the park after work ad school instead of going home to ...

8. Frozen Yoghurt - there are loads of frozen yoghurt joints in Saigon (there seem to be Tutti Frutti on every corner!) so we gave it a go and it was loads of fun! It's self service so you take a tub, help yourself to as much frozen yoghurt as you want (there were about eight different flavours - I chose plain and coffee) and then add toppings and sauces (chocolate and chocolate for me... Mmmm...). It was great fun and the end result was ...

But then I got back into backpacker mode and in the same mind frame as going to visit San Pedro prison in La Paz where I really don’t morally agree with everything I’ve done on this trip I do sometimes have to think - when am I ever going to get the chance ...

When people ask my name and I say Wadzanai they get that glazed kind of “oh sherbet” look in their eyes. The language thing! And why is it that Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam drive on the right unlike Thailand? Just asking.
The Vietnamese, in my brief experience thus far, have been lovely. I really expected the worst after what people told me but here they're really sweet and friendly.
I even had my purse mended by a lady for free...for free! In the backpacker ghetto!
Maybe Marx wasn't so wrong about people after all.....
