... price we had been paying for inexpensive hotels and this one even included breakfast which the others had not. And when we arrived, it was charming and impressive. It needs more upkeep as these old chateaux often do, the old wood floors creak, there are cracks in the walls and ceilings here and there, but the rooms were clean and serviceable and very large. ... been brilliant...
Plotted up in a pleasant enough hotel that has everything I need, food and beer!!

Weather forecast for tomorrow isn't good either so I'm only doing 200 miles to a town called Sinsheim, they have a rather good plane & car museum....

Weather forecast is thunderstorms until Tuesday.....

Another sunny but cool day...a little warmer at 14 but still need a coat. Today we slept in and plan to lunch on top of a hill called St Peters where there was a fort during the 17+18 centuries and there is also some very famous caves dug originally for the local stone called Mergal which was used to build many homes etc. So we met Claire on the Vrijthof and walked through town, across the park ...

... cost. We ventured in and my heart simply melted... The art that is contained in these beautiful places of worship is just priceless. The renaissance technique still completely blows my mind. I sneaked in a few pictures and sprayed holy water on Ruben he is now thoroughly blessed lol.

After the church visits we made our way home and I am now thinking of crawling into bed.
