Tuesday 30th September Kev's birthday so he is in command today. It was grey and drizzly so decided to postpone the river cruise till tomorrow and hope for a better day. Caught the metro north and walked to museum Island. Visited the Pergamon Museum where the classical antiquities collection is. I remember our guide in Turkey going on about having to go to Berlin to see all the treasures taken from Turkey. Museum is fairly small and only occupies a small section of the two levels, and ...

We walked our feet off, did a city bus tour, met friends of Peter and Rads and had a Bavarian dinner with them. We returned to the hotel at 8pm after leaving this morning at 6.30. We are tired with sore feet and aching backs but we all had a great ...

Enjoyed breakfast with Dave. Compared stories from yesterday's activities. Plotted out the day. Cleaned up, mapped my route & off I go. Visited Prenzlauer Berg - a neighborhood in northeast Berlin. It's quiet here. It's described as a working class district with refurbished buildings, cobblestone streets with leafy, laid-back squares. I couldn't agree more & soak up the less-touristy neighborhood. Shopping is great. Already found some gems & now sipping a Pelligrino, ...
