This little harbour on Friesland has been the destination of our family for many a trip. Papa used to sail from here on his friend's yacht. So we often came to visit, when they were getting ready to leave or when they had just returned.

... from the provinces of Overijssel and Friesland where dairy and sheep predominate to Groningen where there are larger wheat and sugar beet farms. Some towns are even built on mounds a couple of metres high! We even rode up a hill 9 metres high. This is definitely my kind of cycling, though I do miss the spectacular scenery ...
