... in a glass with a slight taste of coffee. So disappointed. Should have had the sundae, like Laura did. Didn't even drink it as it just seemed like it would give me stomach problems later. ... no smoking inside laws back home!! The band that was playing were doing a concert before the jam session started, and they were playing very jazzy, chilled tunes, which took me back to the Ballarat days! We had a couple of beers and a chat up the back there, then when the set finished, we decided we had to leave, as Darren's asthma wasn't agreeing with all the smoke! ... The owners were so ecstatic that I was a cat lover and that their cats obviously liked me (I am the cat whisperer, there's not that many cats that I don't bond with). They also gave me an orange and passion fruit aperitif which was actually quite nice. It's apparently a local thing so I might see what it's called and see if I can some. ... let them know, and after talking to them over Facebook for the last month or so, we organized it, and I was very much looking forward to it. Anyone ever met someone from Belgium? They are incredibly friendly and welcoming people. So much that after a mere two days of hanging out, I’m spending a week with them, and staying at Joke’s mum’s apartment in my own room, and then Lynn’s mum by the sea in Belgium.
