Today's ride took us through the fields of Flanders which was the western front during world war I. Flanders is known for its poppy fields and is why the poppy is associated with war veterans. We have dinner in a place that has an unusual menu of Flemish stew, garlic steak, and hamburgers, and french fries (friets) come with everything.
