    ... ways to get out of the washing up! When I went back to get the washing some Dutch ladies had finished it and dried it for us which was very nice, maybe this fainting thing was a good tactic after all. Decided to move on after 2 nights as the site was a bit noisy, especially the miserable Scottish folk next to us, they should have their T5 taken away ...

    Stayed on the outskirts of a large campsite with lots of Germans on their way into The Netherlands. On the second day caught the train into Groningen which is the capital of the region and I think the main city in northern Netherlands.     ... it to platform 10A, caught the train with minutes to spare, and away we went, had two stops where we had to change trains, but we managed quite well. (suitcases and all)

    ... It's kinda cool being able to fit in so easily but I feel silly every time I have to shyly ask for them to repeat in English. Most people are very nice about it and English is spoken by just about everyone. As much I would love to say that I have picked up on some Dutch, I haven't one bit. It is such a harsh and difficult language and my throat simply cannot make the noises required for it. I enjoy listening to it ...
