... along the canal through orchards up to the dam, eating oranges. Even though we walk through small farms with just about no traffic on the roads, there are always a lone restaurant or two on the way where we have coffee or beer. There are always a few locals outside smoking and drinking dinky bottles of beer. Like those very small bottles of Coke years ago.
Talking of smoking I am soooo sick that I did not even consider having my regular once a year ...
Hi all, we are still in Silves. Unbeknown to us, we seem to have landed on one of the best campsites around and now we are reluctant to move on. It is good as we are close to the historical town centre (5 mins) which is seriously old (still the Moors and Christians fighting after they kicked out the Romans), there is electric connections, free internet, a supermarket two minutes away, good showers, few tourists and loads ...

Bom dia, these past two days have been my last for exploring Portugal. Unfortunately, I was not able to tour a cork factory as they were closed for the holidays. I did go to a nice museum in Sao Bras Alportal a learned a bit about the making of wine corks.
