    A little more New Orleans

A travel blog entry by akgraff on Jul 07, 2015

... found a Lululemon and did a little shopping. Tami took me to get an english donut, (beignet) which is a must try. We took a little nap after that. After getting some much needed rest, we headed to Poppy's Crazy Lobster for some more local fare - red beans and rice for Tami and some gumbo for me. I swear there isn't enough time in the day for ...

    New Orleans!

Before leaving Memphis, we needed to do laundry... badly! While waiting for the washing machines to finish, we found a Ms. Pac-man game and I got to witness Tami's video game skills! The men had a little too much Jack Daniel's Tennessee sippin' whiskey, ...

We are heading to 125th Street, we don't know where we are exactly but feel mighty uncomfortable - oh dear we are in the heart of Harlem so the heat is on to get our of here as quickly as possible. Doesn't help that we meet some friends who tells us to keep safe. Yikes! We reach the Chandler hotel safe and sound and decided ...

... booking like I was doing earlier in the trip. I find the spot on the GPS the internet said the dawn service was to be held. As I arrive, I see stalls and large novelty letters saying "G'day" and kangaroo cuttings and the wooden construction that will obviously be the opera house. I cruised past seeking a car park. Obviously more was going on here then just a dawn service. I find a park near some vintage houses. They are original houses for the settlement of Houston and the car ...
