... Lira to Euros in a variety of amounts and in that order, the other side going from Lira to Dollars to Euros. A handy on the fly currency conversion.
Tomorrow I will pack (yes, seriously) and then spend the rest of the week trying not to put anything else into my bag! And ironing is on the list as well.

Tuesday 22nd May. Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Sunday we had a lazy morning, then went into Durango on the trolley bus, to the 'Taste' festival. All the main downtown area was closed for vehicular traffic, & it was a food, wine, beer & local drinks festival. Huge party day to welcome in the summer;bands playing etc. Great day. ... does feel bigger in Texas. It takes us eight hours alone just to make it to the border of New Mexico. Driving through the sun parched stone valleys we snacked and talked, listened to music and the occasional bout of independent radio. The ride goes so much smoother with two people in the car. ... William) on the way, I finally got myself to St. Albans Cathedral, and over to the Chapter House at the end of the South Transept. There I met Tom Winpenny, the Assistant Master of Music at the cathedral.

Tom just released an album of Judith Bingham’s organ music, so I felt that he would be another good person to talk to about her music. He, too, was very positive, impressed with her music and hoping that it will last into the future.

Ajax, shopping, meeting new people

... drink every day. It was better than soft drink though and we were ready for a cold drink by then. Ajax was pleased to see us when we arrived home.
Sunday we did the washing, cleaning, etc then made salad to take to Virginia’s for a pot luck lunch. We had a very interesting day. There were about 12 people there, all very intellectual.
