      Chilled by the pool on the terrace of the hostel. Outside on the main street swarms of emergency services had gathered as a gas leak had sprung in one of the apartment blocks. Roads had been cordoned off whilst channel 7 news helicopters hung above vibrating the humid air like a bass drum. The situation had solved itself within the hour and everything was back to normal.
