... trying to keep up with traffic. The road is mostly concrete chinks, but the occasional paved section actually uses oyster and clam shell instead if rock. It is super rough. They have really interesting expansion rates here, but managed to get it right a lot of the time which begs the question, "did they just apply the same formula for too long?" Why did we choose this road over the famed Hwy 10 of Anne Murray songs (Twist and shout, listen to it)? Because there was a ...

... to fill up on some food and gas before our next venture. We came across Rotollo’s, a pizza place with famous tasty cheese sticks we ordered as an appetizer. I ate a partial calzone and Jessica ordered the lasagna, all which was very good and fairly priced. As we left Jessica helped herself to a balloon animal – well, balloon "thing." If you are ever in the Mobile area make sure you stop and see the USS Alabama. It was a great day!

The sites are reasonable size—we are able to park both the truck and jeep in our site. There is a little concrete patio and picnic table at each site. There are nice trees throughout the campground. Although it is close to the highway, it is quiet.
