I am really nervous about planning this trip. It is my first "public" group cruise. I am worried that I will not get enough people. I have no idea what I am doing. I my tummy is in knots! I hope it gets better soon!
Elkton, Kentucky, United States hightowercruiseWell the other trainees and I were given a week off before we had to report to our respective bases. It was over Thanksgiving and would probably be the last holiday we would have off for the next few years. I spent the time visiting family and friends but mostly I sat around the house enjoying the break.
Clarksville, Tennessee, United States meanstreak1980... back on the highway we continued driving until around 11 or 12 pm, we stopped at a rest area in Texas where we pitched our tents for the night and cooked up what was left of the pot roast dinner we were given the day before. My alarm went off at 6am the next day and we woke up to a very windy and very chilly Texas morning, we packed up our tents as quickly as we could and the got back onto the road

Aahhhh rest period, after 18 hours of straight driving we arrive at Rob's in Erin at 1:16pm c/t, we get out, unpack what we need and then take a quick tour of the town with rob and his father. When we return to the house we settle in and rest up for the next day.

Clarksville, Tennessee, United States yigehaorenOK, so I am a little behind on updating this thing, but I promise to do better in the future. Also - no pix til I get to Darcy's. So anyway - I arrived in Clarksville Friday afternoon and Tim (buddy from the army), and I killed every Natty Light in his house! What can I say? We had to do some catching up on old times. Then, Daniel "Dead-Eye" Tripp showed me up in a little shooting exhibition off the back porch with his ...
Clarksville, Tennessee, United States nic_and_nicole... I threw on a t-shirt and jeans, forgoing the much needed shower due to time constraints. A chain of events took me from that moment to do all of the following in this order: Ben's Chili Bowl for lunch, babysitting my 1-year-old nephew, walking around the Georgia Avenue Caribbean Street Festival, drinking at Wonderland, seeing the Nationals baseball game, hanging out at a karaoke bar in Dupont, and back to Wonderland once again for more drinking and dancing. And kids, that same t ...
Washington, District of Columbia, United States danielwolfe... preparing to head home. With me was a friend, also on the way out, perhaps for better reasons than I. Another fellow trainee was leaving as well, probably for the exact reasons that I was. And those reasons, as I look back now, were nothing more than fear. I was afraid. I didn't want to be lonely, and I didn't want to work hard to make that loneliness disappear. I wanted to have what I had before I left. I wanted that intimate network of ...
Clarksville, Tennessee, United States danielwolfe... am glad that I'm home. No offense to Thailand, I really enjoyed what I saw while I was there before I got sick. Hopefully sometime down the road I can go back, but probably to a more inhabited area. I am getting back into the swing of things in St. Louis. I have a cute one-bedroom apartment just a few miles from campus, and I luckily got ...
Saint Louis, Missouri, United States bree650... goals. Money is much harder to raise, but we've managed about 800 signatures per show. It really is amazing the amount of people we reach in any given day between talking to them or the stickers and handouts we have. So we basically work from 11, take lunch around 12:30, which takes forever since there are about 600 people on tour being fed. Lunch is interesting because you sit around trying to figure out who is in a band and who isn't. I also feel naked as I don't ...
