        ... was terrified of the bears- they can break the glass of the windows. They were around as we saw someone had left a rubbish bag out and in the morning it was all strewn across the road. I saw two bald eagles-one carrying a fish.

        Saturday was a miserable weather day. Much cooler here 55 fahrenheit compared to 80 in Sacramento. We had a log fire going.

        ... his guitar by the fire, which made for a great relaxing night. Camping at Tahoe was great and only got down to the 50’s, which wasn’t bad with the 20-degree sleeping bags we had. We all got a great night sleep surprisingly. Our tent was great and could sleep 6 people with two separate rooms in it.         We had a solid breakfast with the Heinen clan at IHOP. These are some of my favorite trail angels yet. We made sure to stop in and get our photo on the wall at Lake of the Sky outfitters and then back to Motel 6 where we were thrilled to see Cannonball in the parking lot waiting for us.         Today was fairly difficult but I have some cool stories. I went about 50 miles and most of it was uphill. I was able to reach Echo Summit today which was nice because because I finally got to go downhill.
