... Matt got burnt- looks soooo sore today!!! Cos it was so nice in the day, there was a huge thunder storm last night but we still got on the MRT and headed into China town for our last meal from the Street Market.

Will keep you posted from Penang- hopefully will be just a nice relaxing trip to the pool and beach everyday though.

ARGHHHHHHHHH!!!!! !!!

Delayed by 3 hours!!!!!!!! Not impressed!!!!!

... you can imagine such as electronics, luggage, corningware, books, bathroom accessories, and food. You name it, chances are you can find it here at Mustafa. According to Keith, Mustafa gets incredibly busy after 10pm. Who knows? Maybe we'll check it out before we leave.

After a full day of walking in the heat, we sought refuge in a nearby mall and enjoyed some frozen treats. Colin and I ordered durian and mango on shaved ...

... was located, and Chinatown. We ate everything that is delicious--curries, noodles, rices, dumplings, soups--and didn't leave a bite on our plates.

We had to check out of our hotel room at noon, but our flight wasn't until 9pm. Feeling hot, sticky, and tired, we planted ourselves in a shady spot near the Singapore harbor nestled between two glorious shopping malls. We we're reminded ...

... turns with the SLR camera and camcorder, taking in the views of the city skyline and surrounding area. Before we knew it we had completed our rotation and it was time to exit.


After waiting 30 minutes for the bus to pick us up, we were both starting to doze off and thus we decided to jump off after a few stops and flag a taxi to get home faster. We couldn't fight the heavy eyelids any longer, it was lights out shortly after 9:00.

... kept in cages, there are just moats around the enclosures and the monkey are pretty much free to roam where ever they would like! They had loads of animals there, especially monkeys and lions! Tommorrow night I will be doing the night safari at the zoo with Emma which I am looking forward too as I imagine you will just se lots of pairs of eyes!

To resume, that was a good day, we did enjoy having a city-break and are looking forward to go to visit some more places in Singapore (Chinatown and hopefully the skyline) and then go to Indonesia for the real cultural clash!!!

I feel I should talk about Zouk a bit more as it was a disappointment mainly due to several things but the main problem was the music. Also, there was this DJ who I think was French messing about with songs unnecessarily and he had a short, dumpy way about him and kept taking photos. Not cool.

... Bar eating peanuts and decadently throwing the shells all over the floor - about the only place in Singapore you can litter! Four Singapore Slings later (two alcoholic, two not) and we are ready to mortgage our house to pay the bill! Wandered through Arab Street and had a quick look at the Sultan Mosque before walking over to Little India and the Sri Veerama-kaliamman Temple. This was lovely, adorned with over the top ...

... in on the secret of where the airport shuttle bus was for our hotel and having just missed the most recent one we waited in the airport a little longer before heading out in the pouring rain for a trip to Changi Village Hotel.

... definitely do it again sometime.  Four hours is short - too short - but totally worth it.  And Singapore is less hot from 1-5am...  :o)  I now sit in the Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge, having had a shower and a BBQ pork bun.  Kent is off to HKG and then home, and I am shortly to the gate for NRT.  See you in Tokyo (again)!
