The plane pushed back from the gate right at 08:25. Some 55 minutes later we finally began to taxi to the runway. At a couple of points during our delay, the captain reported there was some sort of mechanical issue with which they were dealing. We got more anxious by the minute since we only had about one hour from the time our flight landed in Phoenix until we were to take ...
... and one amazing park.
We did a lot of relaxing in the hot sun – but also exploring all the trails in the park – which bring us closer to the big mountain and also gave us great views on the valley below and all the other mountains around.
Siphon trail: is really nice and goes up a Canyon between the rocks to a breathtaking basin: like a washed out stone valley – then the climb to the top would begin – ...
... but then could hear it in living room. At the same time heard a police siren and then the fire department arrive! A few minutes later the alarms went off and the units left, but the fire lights in the hall is still going off. Finished eating and packing and was downstairs at 8:45 and out driver was already there (he was due at 9). All the snow, except for the big stacks is gone and the pavement is dry so no trouble getting to the airport. No problem through ...
... shopping, a movie theater, and the arena where the hockey team, the Coyotes, play. Parking was easy (thanks to a kind security guard that let us park for free in the closer lot) and the shuttle service dropped us off close to the stadium. I was surprised with the number of 49er fans in the crowd and our seats, although in the nosebleeds, were surrounded by 9er fans as well. It was an amazing game, ...
