    Flying to Denver

A travel blog entry by jrammon on Jul 11, 2014

Here we go again. Another Ammon family fly-n-drive to see America trip. But this trip will be a little different. This trip we have company. We are delighted and excited to have the Dickinson family join us as they experience first hand one of our busy vacations. The Dickinson family has often followed us on our previous adventures through this travel blog. In fact several of our trips have begun or ended in Nashville where the Dickinson family lives. ...

Once fixed, reclaiming my heavy bag and schlepping it to Southwest and then re-clearing security got me to the gate with 20 minutes to spare. I strolled to the wine bar for a cabernet and boarded A48, thanks to Mandy for getting me a low number.

    The flight is on time.

You have about 30 mins. up top, enough time to take in the sites, hit the bathroom (train has none) and walk through the gift shop. We had taken aspirin (regular for me, baby for the grandson) before boarding the train and sipped water all the way up so we had no problem with the altitude. We did see a small herd of deer on the way down as they crossed right in front of us.

... a need to sit and pray, and maybe have a church service. Now, this little chapel is smaller than most walk-in closets. Each pew has room for exactly one average-sized person. And I am talking national average size, not rural Kansas size which looks to skew larger. There are four pews on each side, and a compact sized pulpit in front. So, those of you looking to have a really small church ...
