    Leaving Columbus and Fort Benning

A travel blog entry by sethfield on May 15, 2015

A couple days after going out with a bunch of my friends (Charlie, Chris, Matty, Adam, Mikey, Nigel, and Joe) to the Cannon Brew in downtown Columbus one last time, I finally signed out of Fort Benning and 2-16 Cav after close of business on Friday, May 15th and made the five-hour drive to Tupelo, MS, driving through a heavy rainstorm and impressive lightning storm along the ...

    Columbus

A travel blog entry by sethfield on Aug 01, 2014

I moved into my apartment at Independence Place, just north of Fort Benning's Sand Hill area, on August 1st and stayed there for nearly 10 months while I was snowbirding/blackbirding and going through ABOLC, MLMC, and ARC. A travel blog entry by jonmartin on Oct 09, 2013

... was ok but distastefully presented. The hummus app had rediculously old, bruised veggies and poorly attempted garlic bread. And our booth benches creaked loudly with the slightest movement. Had Blue Bell ice cream for dessert there, just to rescue the evening. 2 stars We threw that wonderful loaf of bread away because we didn't want the smell in our room or in the car, and we knew we could not eat it before going home. So bummed. Had to watch "regular" tv, with commercials. ...
