... road there are heaps of purple, pink & white lupins, daisies, buttercups, & even bright orange poppies. ... juice and coffee and desserts for under 10 Euro. It was just what we needed and it included the requisite meatballs!

We spent the afternoon getting the lay of the land and finding the bus and train station. After Nagu, we'll need to get to Helsinki so we did some research. And we asked about the buses to Nagu, an island just southwest where we'll spend a few days biking and hiking.

We pulled into the bus station in Turku a little after 5pm, and after a couple of mishaps with broken luggage handles and misplaced (but not lost) knapsacks, we found our inn a few kilometers outside of the main town. And what a charming little place it is! It's a guesthouse as opposed to a backpacker hostel, with a large sitting room, a sauna for guests, and a country feel to the area. ... update. Admittedly, I don't do well in traffic when I'm at home, but at least I have a familiarity with the street signs and I know where I'm going. This was a different level of frustration.
