... beach was quick, and the beach was lovely. We walked a bit, read, tried to avert our eyes from all the exposed beach potatoes and beach bananas, then a few hours later it was time to head back. ... and pointed out the main sights, so we set off on foot. The old town is very small, and we easily walked around the whole area, down the mazes of narrow medieval cobble stoned streets for the remainder of the afternoon. The town itself is a UNESCO world heritage site, and has been nicknamed both White-City and Museum-City. We opted not to worry about visiting the museums, but loved the monumental churches, historic squares and white houses. We enjoyed the cloisters ...

... up where we planned to when we set out which is a first. It's a lovely little hillfort town, a couple of miles from the coast with lots of little bars for me to meet the locals. Who knows how long we will end up here for and for how long, as for me, I am still suffering from my broken heart which will probably never mend... Ohh must go, just seen quite a swarthy long dark haired local giving me the eye, off for a bum sniff, catch you soon …. ...
