... and so far, it does not disappoint. Arrived at Castro Marim which is a beautiful little town with massive hilltop fort and castles that are open during the day. WE left that for later and found a 3 km beach with glorious sands that is the start of the famous Algarve. Too windy for much lying out as we were shotblasted by the sand. Not too many swimmers either as it was suitable only for the hardy.

anchor was too light to get them off the mud. Luckily the marina got in contact with a naval vessel which was around the area (taking school kids out on an adventure) and they towed them off the mud – must say they did have to use some wellie before the boat ...

Today we didn't do too much, however Gen did take a dive to look at what was around the
prop – there was some seaweed left around the p bracket – so it looks as if whatever was on there had come off with the currents. After this we went to the island – the beach is very resortee and leading to the beach there were around 10 or so restuarants.

After servicing the outboard we took the ferry back to Olhao for further provisioning. Went to the market and stupidly forgot that fishmongers don't generally open on Monday's, so missed out on buying some more seafood. But, there was a small trader where we bought some oysters for 5 Euro and a great big bag of clams for 12 Euro.
