    ... was of being put on her father’s shoulders to feel the deep scratches a grizzly bear had made in a tall tree. She also said she hoped to visit NZ next year as she had found people from there to be the most friendly in her 8 years working in the centre.

    We then drove a further 30km to Penticton where we have a change of accommodation tonight as we are back in a hotel for the first time since Whistler. It gives us plenty of space and an on-site laundry, so has worked out ...

    ... stay & visit with Terry and Betty. Mom (Grandma) has been getting Dad (Grandpa) ready for this trip over the last month or so. A new wardrobe, medical stuff organized, and teaching me all the tricks of making sure Dad is ready each day to tackle the vacation adventure! Ha!     ... we had planned to stay near Revelstoke for the night but when we checked out the campground we discovered that not only was it not designed for large rigs, the ground was also 'very' wet.
