Arriving in French Lick is such a surprise. You're driving, driving, driving....then all I a sudden you round the corner ...there sits the most magnificent building you've ever seen. West Baden. So beautiful and so elegant. We went a little further to the French Lick Springs (where the Casino is located). We had planned to eat at the buffet/cafeteria but they stopped serving at 2 pm. So we decided to go back to the rotunda, West Baden.

The last three days have been great. The ride from KC to St Louis was a pleasure, except for the last fifty miles in a pouring rain.

Wednesday, 7/3, we spent exploring St. Louis, the Arch, and the Arch museum. Lunch was at our hotel bar, with our favorite St. Louis bartender, Kimberly - with lots of pictures ...

... Pulpit Rock and unique Penny Ceiling. Marengo Cave remains at 52 degrees (farenheit) all year round.
Our tour guide's Grandmother attended square dancing and church sermons inside this cave.
We were about 80 feet below the surface and at one stage, because we were under a hill, it was 160 feet.
Everything about this tour was just spectacular!
