Arriving in French Lick is such a surprise. You're driving, driving, driving....then all I a sudden you round the corner ...there sits the most magnificent building you've ever seen. West Baden. So beautiful and so elegant. We went a little further to the French Lick Springs (where the Casino is located). We had planned to eat at the buffet/cafeteria but they stopped serving at 2 pm. So we decided to go back to the rotunda, West Baden.
... another 40 miles today and be in Seymour but I decided to call it a day and get some homework done. Tomorrow I will Try to ride to Versailles which is about 72 miles. It should be another easy day and I really hope the weather is good. Today I rode 70 miles. To any mother reading this happy mothers day and especially you mom. Can't wait to get ...
... old Indiana state capital building in
Corydon; Lincoln's boyhood home and birthplace near Hodgenville; KY;
Mammoth Cave National Park (KY); and the city of Bowling Green, KY. Also
... miles of twisties through the Hoosier National Forest.
Tomorrow we hook-up with Cain and Patricia in Madison, IN.
Last night we talked to Emma and told her about the bear on the road. She told us that a bear chased her and wanted her apple. She told the bear "No no bear you can't have my apple."
... Pulpit Rock and unique Penny Ceiling. Marengo Cave remains at 52 degrees (farenheit) all year round.
Our tour guide's Grandmother attended square dancing and church sermons inside this cave.
We were about 80 feet below the surface and at one stage, because we were under a hill, it was 160 feet.
Everything about this tour was just spectacular!
