Arriving in French Lick is such a surprise. You're driving, driving, driving....then all I a sudden you round the corner ...there sits the most magnificent building you've ever seen. West Baden. So beautiful and so elegant. We went a little further to the French Lick Springs (where the Casino is located). We had planned to eat at the buffet/cafeteria but they stopped serving at 2 pm. So we decided to go back to the rotunda, West Baden.

Paul & Deanna took us to a cave (www.bluespringcaverns.com) that is toured by boat. Something we had never done before. The cavern is in Bedford, about 40 miles from French Lick. We got there a little early so we bought a bag of dirt that have gems in them & Kaptain showed Amanda how to pan for them. She made a killing & ended up with a big handful of gemstones.

After that, it was time to go to the cave. The Tour Guide led us to the boat ...

... it was so great to see her & Amanda. We talked & Amanda set up the Wii & showed us some of her games. LeeDelle tried some of the games but didn't do nearly as we'll as her 12 year old niece. It was good for a laugh for all of us. We rented a one bedroom condo at French Lick Villa and got there about 1 AM. But that is only 10 PM So Cal time. Nice little one bedrooms I condo. Perfect for our week stay ...
