It was sad to say goodbye to the mountains but the campsite in La Grange, GA was beautiful. It's a federal campground run by the Corps of Army Engineers and is a series of 4 campground on the huge lake. The Corp takes care of the lake to control flooding and built these 4 campgrounds around the lake as part of their West Pointe Project. Awesome experience! As Bible teachers, we relished walking around the full scale replicas. The artifacts can be handled adding to the realism. As an added bonus, we were treated to a special treat when Dr. Fleming gave us a personal tour and insights.
