        Getting started

... As always we start our trips by staying the night before at a hotel at the airport and again, this time, we have chosen Rydges. It really is totally convenient and makes for getting to the airport on time completely free of stress. Only this morning we heard about the traffic jam on the M7/5 and thought to ourselves, "yep, this is why we do what we do". Not that the lead up to this adventure has been without its stressors! Apart from the ...

After an uneventful drive through heavy traffic we arrived home at lunch time ready to start the dreaded job of unpacking. While we had a couple of issues with car & van over the seven weeks the trip itself was relatively easy and as we weren't moving all the time and we were in new country most of the time. We are certainly blessed with a magnificent, ever changing country with plenty of room to ...

Well, the day had finally arrived and it was time to pick up Le Van Deux (Le Van Un, was the subject of our UK/EU trip in 2014). We'd owned Le Van since late March when we'd seen and fallen in love with her at the Sydney RV Centre. She's an Italian chassis (Fiat Ducato/Alko chassis) and an Australian body by Sunliner). Put together she's a Sunliner Pinto. Compact at 6.6m, and a bit narrower than most motorhomes, she'll fit into Aldi carparks (that's our benchmark).

... just before 3pm and met Mitchell in the hall and he looks tired but elated :) Lauren looks wonderful, both of them are reasonably relaxed and confident and have been well looked after and receiving plenty of guidance. Stella is ADORABLE :) xoxo I get plenty of cuddles and lots of photos. Both Lauren's sisters arrive, Danielle brings Ashton, now 14 weeks, with her and he is a happy little ...

We got on the train to Penrith. It was fun… We finally got there after an hour or so and got a cab to Annes house and he was a crazy taxi driver. We were lucky that we got there in one piece. As we didn't have anything in so we ended up getting an Indian which was yummy to say you couldn’t get a decent one in New Zealand.

The next day we ended up having a walk around Penrith. We went to the library to get some information on the walks in ...
