Since Bodo,the coastal express has steamed north in search of the elusive North Cape. The sea is quite gentle which is contrary to everything that I have come to expect from sagas regarding the savage Arctic wind. ... The higher slopes are covered in the afore mentioned pine trees, then lower, on the gentler but still impressive slopes are the buildings and houses of the town itself. After four nights aboard the MS Richard Wirth, I disembarked 7 AM at Harstad. From there I got bus to Narvik, Norway Where there is a train which goes to Lulea in Sweden. Arrival there about 11 PM. Several interesting conversations along the way. Norway scenery and settlement patterns fascinating.
