Hurricane Creek, like every other creek in the area, was a raging snowmelt torrent, so much so we did not approach it, or let Rubi get too close. But this was a great setting, deep in a canyon with a view up toward the Matterhorn (the highest peak in the range according to our map) , and we had it to ourselves. The rushing waters helped make for a good night's sleep.
