HI everyone, today we went to Arnold's house for lunch. He is one of James's work colleagues and a dear christian. James and he had a lot of fellowship during recess for a couple of days. ... Then he got fresh and clean water from bamboo. It was really clean water. We saw wild boar footprints. Then he showed us how to make a spoon and fork with bamboo. He said you can eat with the fork and spoon and then you have a back scratcher and toothpick. Then he made a long table and a rice cooker and cups. He made a spoon and cup for us kids each. I had lots of itch bites in the jungle

... me. I learned to enjoy many different meals at their table. I was able to eat dried fish a speciality of the province I was living in. I also ate delicious field frog which I was able to see while they were all alive and after they were cleaned. I had my first fried pig leg. I also found out that breakfast is not like in the states where we have fruit and pancakes. I have eaten a whole plate of pinoy spaggetti complete with pineapple and hotdogs! The food here ...

Greeting's to all from the crazy city of Manila! I arrived here last night to meet up with some other PCV's to catch a great native concert and plan a Environmental Leadership camp to be held at the farm in May. While I am not a big fan of the noise and pollution of Manila I am very excited because the main reason I came down was to meet my sister Heidi at the airport!!! She arrives tomorrow for a three week visit!! We will be spending the first week down south ...
