... We do not disagree. Unfortunately for us they were engaged in restorative work on the exterior front. The inside was pristine. The church is rich with paintings and frescoes. In fact Mike (aka Michelangelo) reviewed the ceiling and wall art before painting the Sistine Chapel. Bird is also especially impressed with the alternating black and white stone work. Noel and I were invited to Il Fontanaro winery and Olive Grove. It's a beautiful farm overlooking a valley in Paciano, next door village to Panicale. We were looking forward to experiencing such a local traditional event ,and I was secretly really excited , as they have 2 beautiful chocolate Labradors that I could play with.
... but I must admit I was keeping an ear cocked for the sound of crumbling dirt !!!!
We wandered through the via , peering over the rims of stone fences and into windows to find nothing.. ...... sheer drops and clear sky .........where the gardens and buildings had just fallen off as the edge crumbles.

He bought this winery and land in 1971 on a holiday to Umbria, designed he golf course himself and apparently loved spending time here. His only child Patrizia Lamborghini , has run and managed the golf course and winery for many years after Enzo Lamborghini died . Unfortunately, it probably hasn't been a great passion for her, and hasn't been maintained or maximised as well as could have been.

... restaurant and Pranza / lunch was served to Fabio and I . Mama Mia Madonna ....it was fantastico. We watched with amazement how a whole restaurant was also fed at the same time, marvelling at this little dynamo Nonna Anna.
We waddled out of the restaurant with a huge " doggie- bag" ( don't know what that is in Italiano) .....enough for several more meals
