... We took a open air truck to the walking street which was crazy. People everywhere, at the bars there were women sitting behind the bar and it looked like they would sit with whomever ordered a drink???? A lot of solicitation for the Ping pong show. We walked around and then back to the hotel in another open air ...

... me directions. I walk a good ways and see lots of sights, many of them while I am lost and wandering around. Getting lost does not bother me anymore. It did at first. The streets often do not have signs and if they do they are in Thai. My maps are in english but I never know if they show small streets coming in from the side or not. ... Straight out of there and off for a foot massage, just what I need after such a long walk. I think that I have walked more in the last 2 days than I have since the Summer, I am seeing a correlation between this and my weight problem. Hmmm, why didn't I think if that before?? Stroll on the beach next and they have set up hundreds of stalls selling all sorts of things, very nice walk back to the Hotel. Bit of a rest and its out for Dinner, we want ...

    So week two!

Saturday night brought my first experience of 'walking street' Pattaya's main area for nightlife. It was pretty crazy, its basically a road, blocked off for cars, full of bars, clubs and go go bars. Prostitutes everywhere and children running around selling flowers, bracelets etc. It was not as shocking as I had expected, as I have seen some of this in other places, but if it was your first visit to Thailand I'd imagine you'd find it pretty surreal! Had a ...
