    The months of anticipation and planning are over, here we are, lives packed in a campervan waiting to sail for Rotterdam and the Rhine lands beyond. The drive down to Hull was fairly uneventful. After a morning of rain showers we collected Evan from school and were underway by 2pm. Evan slept half of the way.

    ... lunch before deciding to go to Grimsby to see what was in the town (not a lot really) caught the bus back and heading back to the house for dinner. They have dinner at 4:30pm which took a bit to get used too. Unfortunately we got a little lost so didn't end up getting back till after 5pm.

    Lovely couple of days exploring the town, shame we weren't there longer really but so glad that we went there.

    ... depicting religious themes. These had been found buried and hidden away. They are downstairs, they are so gorgeous and ornate I would have preferred to see them on much better display. Integrated amongst the art there is a very good Robin Hood experience, as well as the history of the castle, and also reference to the caves which are everywhere underneath Nottingham.
